Gwen's Birthday Tea Party

Today we celebrated Gwen's birthday with a tea party.  My daughter, Cassie, did a great job!  Look at all the decorations she made.

She made the little hanging baskets, from a tutorial by  The Bride's Cafe.

We found the china set at a thrift store for 1/2 price.  I think the whole set cost $15.00 and she bought the placemats and napkin holder.  She also bought fresh roses and they are so beautiful.

Cassie made a tea cup wreath for the front door.  Tutorial can be found here.

A friend of mine from work, Stephanie, made the cake.  It was perfect!  Cassie made the 3 layered tier tray.  She made chicken salad sandwiches and strawberries on pretzels with cream cheese, (see recipe here).  They also had cut up bananas with grapes.  And of course, they had tea!

Cassie also made the tulle tablecloth.

Each girl got a hat and decorated it with flowers before they sat down for tea and food.

Make a wish Gwen!

I found the tea cups with the matching saucers at thrift stores.  Each girl got one and planted their own flowers in them.

I would say they all had a great time.  It was a lot of fun!
Happy Birthday, Gwen!!
